Legends In The Making — Tim Durtschi
Teton Gravity Research · Patagonia
Tim explores new Southern Andes zones with Eleven Experiences while discussing progression and inspiration from younger skiers.
Feature films, documentary appearances, team projects and credited Warren Miller segments. Every listed release has a source naming Tim or a first-party statement from Tim confirming the appearance.
This archive does not treat a teaser, trip report, social edit or “probably appeared” as a film credit. A release enters the main list when Tim is named by the production, distributor, a reliable film archive, or Tim himself.
That distinction matters in the early 2000s, where footage exists from competitions and film crews but surviving cast records are incomplete. Those years remain open research rather than being filled with guesses.

Teton Gravity Research · Alaska / TGR
A multigenerational mentorship piece connecting Sage Cattabriga-Alosa, Tim Durtschi and Kai Jones.
Teton Gravity Research · Grand Teton, Wyoming
Tim, Kai Jones, guide Doug Workman and photographer Greg Von Doersten climb and ski the 13,776-foot Grand Teton.
Targeted archive searches have not produced a released film that names Tim in the cast. This is an open research gap, not a claim that no footage exists.
A gap means “no defensible named release found yet,” not “Tim definitely did not appear on camera that year.” If an original DVD credit, production catalog, athlete archive, or Tim’s own records surface, the archive should be updated.
Tim’s Way of Life segment became a career marker: TGR says it earned him Best Male Performance at the Powder Awards, combining British Columbia pillows with Alaska spine skiing.
